Norichika Aoki (7-for-16, 3 XBH) has had success against Jeff Samardzija.
Pay up for Devin Mesoraco. He’s hitting .302/.392/.556 against lefties this year, and he faces one, Jorge De La Rosa, in Colorado today.

Carlos Gomez might not be worth his hefty price tag today. He’s just 1-for-15 with five Ks against Jackson.
Coco Crisp has just three hits in 21 at-bats against James Shields.
Anthony Rendon is 2-for-17 lifetime against Dillon Gee.
You always have to be careful when the Cardinals face a lefty, which they do today in San Diego (Eric Stults). Matt Adams has just a .589 OPS against southpaws this season.
