Though the free Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update brings about a lot of changes into the base game, the Happy Home Paradise DLC also integrates a much-requested feature onto the island getaway. The downloadable content will eventually allow players to re-model the homes of the villagers on their island, providing a whole new level of customization within the game. With some players being quite obsessive with the aesthetics of their island, it is not surprising that fans would want to get their hands on the DLC.

On Reddit, user MoopDaDoop opened a thread stating just how much they are enjoying the new ACNH update. Knowing that many people also want the DLC, they generously offered to give out a $35 USD Nintendo eShop card to a fellow fan who currently cannot afford it. MoopDaDoop gave the card to the first commenter on the thread, but this act of kindness quickly inspired other ACNH fans to also start offering to give copies of the ACNH Happy Home Paradise DLC to other players as well.

As of now, the Reddit thread already has over 340 comments. Many of the replies left positive comments about the original poster’s kindness, and the generosity of the other Redditors who also followed suit. This goes to show how wholesome the Animal Crossing: New Horizons community continues to be, despite being surrounded by the many toxic gaming environments found online.

With the 2.0 update and the paid DLC, many new features can be accessed within the title. 16 new Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers have been added to the game’s already large roster. Plus, players will now be able to farm and cook with their harvested produce. New quality-of-life changes such as additional storage slots, permanent ladders, and more, have also been implemented, giving players more customization options. Hopefully this pleases the fans, and keeps them playing until the next update or downloadable content is announced.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available on the Nintendo Switch.
