At least, that’s what LSU Tigers tight end Logan Stokes was probably thinking when he pantsed Alabama’s Reggie Ragland.
We’ve all done some crazy things in the name of sports – Lance Stephenson blew in LeBron’s ear, Albert Haynesworth stomped that guy in the face. Hey, I even once drank orange Gatorade. Anything for an edge.
But pantsing a guy on national television in the middle of a football game?
I don’t think it really gives you an advantage so much as a bewildered look from your opponent and a possibility that you’re going to get an eye poked out in the next scrum. Some would say it’s dirty play but it’s not like cutting under a jump shooter or testing if a guy has a cup.
It’s just a little cheeky is all.
